Freezing time in Scandinavia

We decided it was time to go back to Europe, this time for a Scandinavian adventure to Norway and Iceland with a two-day trip to Sweden.  Scandinavia can conjure many images: amazing social and health care benefits (if you’re Ashley), the excitement of mythical creatures – TROLLS! (if you’re Britt), and devastatingly high prices made to break our banks (if you’re JD).  With such diverse offerings of these countries, naturally, we have lots of questions:

Will the movie Frozen be a true depiction of Norway?  Will there be snow and magical princesses and snowmen who talk?  We hope there are snowmen who talk.

Will there be anything to do in Gothenburg, Sweden, besides go to Ikea?

Will we run into trolls in Bergen?

Will we be able to pry ourselves from the relaxation of floating in the Blue Lagoon to go on an adventurous hike in Landman-blah-blah?  Will we learn the name of the mountain we’re hiking?

Time will tell, but first stop, Oslo… with some more questions…

Will Britt find Kateboy, playing at Oslo Pride, as irresistible as Tegan and Sara?

Will Ashley find all the shrimp? Or just be a shrimp… Scandinavian countries rank among the top in the world for height!

Will JD make friends with the angry baby in Vigeland Sculpture Park?

Stay tuned!
